Vagas trailed 14-7 at half-time with Tom Gascoyne’s try and Tom Chamberlain’s conversion keeping them in the hunt.
Further tries in the second half from Leigh Kennaugh and a penalty try, both converted by Chamberlain, gave them a glimmer of hope but they were just not quite sharp enough to beat a gutsy Glossop side.
