Senior players to feature in cup as injuries hit squad says Ravens boss

FC Isle of Man face Maghull in The Macron Cup

FC Isle of Man manager says he's expecting senior players to feature in The Macron Challenge Cup game tomorrow (24 October) due to injuries.

Lee Dixon had hoped more young players could feature against Maghull in the second round of the cup as he looks to rotate the squad.

'The Ravens' come into the game after two defeats in their last two outings in the NWCFL Premier Division.

Dixon says he's expecting a tough challenge:

This is the first meeting between the two sides.

Maghull have been impressive in the 2026/27 season of the First Division North so far as they top the standings after 14 games with 34 points.

The Merseyside club beat AFC Knowsley in the first round of the competition.

Meanwhile, FC Isle of Man beat Widness Town 6-0 in their opening game.

Due to an Amber Warning for wind from Storm Boelo, the fixture has been brought forward.

FC Isle of Man vs Maghull FC will take place at The Bowl in Douglas this Saturday (17 October), kicking-off at 3pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
