Rugby: Vagabonds host Dunkinfield

Two games postponed due to Storm Boelo

Vagabonds take on Dukinfield

East Manchester side Dukinfield are the visitors to Ballafletcher this weekend in Counties 3 ADM Lancs/Cheshire.

They sit just one place above Vagas in the standings and have won three from three so far this season, while Vagas are two from three.

Vagas won the corresponding game last season 15-5 and with back to back home wins under the belt, they may well fancy their chances here too.

Vagas have looked good so far this season.

The forwards have been going well and the back line has been able to put up the shutters and score tries despite losing a couple to injury in week one.

The front five have been key, Joe Louw, Matt Rockwell and Reece De Oliveira in the front row in particular.

They’re able to hold their own and pressurise the opposition.

Dukinfield however are no mugs up front and this will be a tough battle for Vagas.

They’ll take heart from the Cheshire Plate game between Dukinfield and Southern Nomads, where Nomads held the lead several times before being pipped at the death.

With a fair wind and sturdy pack, Vagas might just take this one.
