
It was the "night of the long knives" for the top established players at the Isle of Man Golf Championship last sixteen matchplay round at Douglas yesterday evening.
Only one former Champion has made it through to today's quarter-finals - 2003 victor Davy Jones from Ramsey who beat eight-time winner Julian Sutton.
The other eight-timer, Gary Wilson, lost to Mike Rae....defending champion from the past two years Paul Lowey went down to Andrew Challenor....and 2004 top dog Kevin Moore was beaten by Brian Duggan.

Steve Jeffers beat Paul Crellin at the first extra hole;
