Hayler v Baker makes for tie of the round

Mike Hayler and Steve Baker will battle it out on the NSC courts later in the third round of the Douglas Open.

Hayler goes into the match as the favourite but is just one place ahead of his opponent in the tournament rankings.

He dispatched of Peter Ginty in straight sets in the previous round with Baker needing four games to get past James Martin.

Other third round ties tonight see Dafydd Lewis take on third seed Hamish Thornton, while number one Ashley Sykes faces Calum Baker.

Fourth round matches will also be played this evening before the final round on Friday.

The action gets underway this evening from 6.30pm.
