Squash: AON close gap at the top

Leaders X Stoneart suffer defeat

Team AON closed the gap at the top of the Division A team squash league with a win against E-Cerebro this week.

The reigning champions won four out of the five individual contests and dropped just five games as they ran out 243-166 winners.

Patrick Fitzpatrick registered an impressive straight sets victory over former Island player Mike Hayler.

Meanwhile, E-Cerebro number one Ashley Sandiford-Sykes was the only one who delivered maximum points for the away side with a 3-1 win against opposite number Robin Crease.

The win for The Seniors means they're just 24 points behind leaders X Stoneart with a game-in-hand.

It's after the leaders lost to easyGym 4-1 with victories for Malcolm Levy, Paul Barnett, Mike O'Brien and Dave O'Neill.
