Rugby: Vagabonds men's new season fixtures confirmed

Island side to start 2026/27 campaign at home

Vagabonds RUFC's men's team fixtures for the 2026/27 season have been announced.

Competing once more in Counties 3 ADM Lancashire/Cheshire, the Island side will start the new season with a home tie at Ballafletcher up against Colne & Nelson on Saturday, 5 September.

After that and during the rest of that opening month, their opener will be followed by a trip to Hoylake on Saturday, 12 September; a home fixture up against Bury on Saturday, 19 September and then an away day at Clitheroe on Saturday, 26 September.

The season is due to run all the way until Saturday, 24 April when Vagabonds will complete the campaign with their reverse tie against Colne & Nelson.

Meanwhile, two fixtures are yet to be confirmed on Saturday, 17 October and Saturday, 13 February.

During 2025/26, Vagabonds went on to finish sixth in the Counties 3 ADM Lancashire/Cheshire Minor Conference League standings following the league split at the midway point of the season with a record of three wins and three defeats from six matches.

In a change, they will be the only Isle of Man side involved in the division this coming season after Ramsey confirmed they would not be joining the English Club Championships system for 2026/27.
