Island team suffer three point loss to Wilmslow

A double disaster for Douglas in their opening Regional 2 North West game. 

They lost scrum half Nathan Robson with a serious ankle injury in the warm up and the reshuffled team then lost 29-32 to newly promoted Wilmslow in an action packed afternoon at Port-e-Chee.

Wilmslow led 15-14 at half time after the kick off was delayed for Robson's injury and the resulting ambulance. 

The game went down to the wire with Wilmslow snatching it at the death after equal scoring throughout. 

Both sides finished with four tries and three conversions but the crucial difference was in penalty kicks. 

Wilmslow made two to Douglas' one. Douglas picked up two useful losing bonus points, but Robson's injury will be a concern for them.

He's currently in Nobles awaiting surgery on a lower leg injury and everyone involved in Manx Rugby wish him a full and speedy recovery.
