St John’s and Ramsey pulled off potentially crucial victories in style on Saturday.
St John’s climbed off the foot of the table with a 5-1 thrashing of Douglas Royal - helped by goals from Cliffy Dunn (two), Anthony Moore and Liam Harrison – to leave Royal firmly rooted at the bottom themselves.
Meanwhile, Ramsey leapfrogged Corinthians in the table after defeating them 4-1 at Ballacloan.
A Danny Oram double, a goal from Steve Cleator and an own goal made it a day to remember for Ramsey with Steve Glover providing Corinthians’ sole bright spot.
The other game in the Sure Mobile Premier League resulted in a 3-1 home victory for sixth placed Union Mills over Ayre United.
The Millers’ marksmen were David Thomenny, Martin Gildea and Chris Kelly with Andy Cannell replying for Ayre.
