
It's hoped a new 'quieter' ball will encourage young people to play more street football.
It's been designed to cut down on the damage and noise caused by conventional types, and ease potential tension between young people and their neighbours.
The scheme is being introduced in Onchan, Braddan, Willaston, Anagh Coar and Pulrose by the Eastern Neighbourhood Partnership, and is backed by the Isle of Man F.A..
The footballs are being distributed by police officers, Douglas Corporation's enforcement officers and community wardens in Braddan and Onchan.
