Northerners claim silverware without kicking a ball last night (29 Apr)
Ramsey have won this season's Canada Life Combination One title, and did so without having to kick a ball during last night's midweek Isle of Man football fixtures (29 April).
The northerners were awarded a home walkover against Union Mills ahead of games getting underway on Wednesday evening, meaning Ramsey go top of the table with a game to spare.
Furthermore, they cannot be mathematically caught by nearest challengers, Corinthians and Peel who have both already concluded their league seasons.
Elsewhere, three teams remain in contention for the top honours in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Combination Two with two of the contenders meeting in a crucial battle last night.
Douglas Athletic moved top of the pile with a narrow 4-3 win over fellow title challengers, Ramsey Youht Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.).
The victory sees Douglas Athletic move ahead of Pulrose United on goal difference with the latter still having played one game less.
