Rain wins again in Manx Football
The Boxing Day Railway Cup Final between Peel and St. George's has been postponed.
Groundsmen at Ballafletcher have been unable to get machinery onto the pitch to prepare the playing surface after all the recent downpours.
With more heavy rain forecast for Christmas Day and early on Boxing Day, the decision has been made early in the interests of all involved.
With the weather forecast over the festive period not offering drying conditions, the game is scheduled for Sunday 17th January - the venue and kick-off time will be announced nearer to the date.
Football Association Fixtures Secretary Tony Mepham says there was no other option but to delay the Final:-
