The newly appointed TT Clerk of the Course has told Manx Radio the change was made for a number of reasons.
It was announced this morning Eddie Nelson had been replaced by the General Secretary of the ACU, Gary Thompson.
Speaking to Manx Radio the former army officer said some of Mr Nelson's comments at TT2011 had been unfortunate:
