Stephen Walsh intrigued by what makes competitors tick
A Manx Grand Prix competitor says he's looking to use the skills from his full-time profession to look at what goes on in the mind of motorcycle racers.
In collaboration with several others, Stephen Walsh is planning to explore the sports psychology involved in racing here on the Isle of Man and further afield.
The rider - who made his MGP debut in 2023 - is hoping to create a data bank for some 'performance-orientated research' looking at the complexities of bike racing and motorsport in general.
What's more he believes whilst sport is competitive by nature, what counts as success can be very different depending on the circumstances:
