Young cyclists shine on national stage
Manxman Mark Christian finished 128th on the final stage of the Vuelta a Espana yesterday (Sunday) - the third & final grand tour of the season.
It left him 138th overall, four hours 36 minutes behind winner Chris Froome who became the first British cyclist to win the Tour of Spain.
He's only the third rider to win the Vuelta and the Tour de France in the same year.
In his comeback event from injury, Mark Cavendish didn’t finish the final stage of the Tour of Britain which was won overall by Belgium's Lars Boom.
Tom Mazzone finished in second place at the TLI senior national road race Championships in Cheshire, while Harry Cain grabbed a podium spot with a second place finish in the junior event.
