Ayre Clay Target club hosted the Olympic Double Trap Manx Championship on Sunday.
Two squads of shooters contested the event in good sunny conditions.
With the targets flying true, the question was whether the favourite, Jake Keeling, could record a Commonwealth Games consideration score in qualifying.
Keeling duly obliged, hitting 131 out of 150 targets.
Coming in second after qualifying and joining Keeling in the gold medal final was Jackie Clague, who hit 102.
Harvey Wood came in third on 93.
Qualification scores are wiped in the new Olympic finals, so Keeling and Clague would now shoot off for the championship over a special sequence of 30 targets.
Clague tried a different gun for the final and hit a 14, but Keeling kept it together, hitting 23 and winning the championship.
