Jade Burden wins Commonwealth Silver Super Featherweight title

Manx professional boxer Jade Burden is the new Commonwealth Silver Super Featherweight champion.

The Grenade defeated Katie Smith in a title fight at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton last night.

The Isle of Man fighter stopped her opponent in the sixth round to secure the first title of her pro career.

The pair had previously been due to contest the belt in April, but the fight was called off less than 72 hours before it took place.
