
Just over three hundred competitors finished Sunday's SalClear Isle of Man Marathon and Half Marathon.
Colin Gell from Sale Harriers won the marathon in 2:51:03, around ten minutes ahead of second placed John Tyler from Havering 90 Joggers. Dumfries RC's Les Hill was third.
The first lady finisher was Anita Wetter from Switzerland in 3:28:24, Mary Briley was second and Breeshey Wood of Stockport Harriers was third.
In the half-marathon, Tim Crossland of Leeds City completed the distance in 1:14:20 almost three minutes ahead of local man Kevin Loundes, who was a minute ahead of fellow local Max Bezance.
Manx Harriers runner Gail Griffiths was the first lady in 1:35:49, ahead of Liverpool Harriers' Pamela Groves and Gail's team mate Sarah Nelson.
