Manx athletes were also in action at the Blackpool Half Marathon, which was run along a section of the town's promenade.
Gail Griffiths was the eighth lady home with a new personal best of 92.11, beating her previous one by 59 seconds.
And Sarah Nelson finished two places behind Gail in a time of 95.14, also slashing a minute or so off her PB in the process.
They were 87th and 119th respectively overall.
