Football: Northern and southern derbies head premier league schedule

New women's league campaign to start on Sunday

Derbies in both the north and south are among the headline ties in another busy Isle of Man football schedule this weekend.

Following promotion to the top flight last season, Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) host Ramsey with both sides still searching for first victory of the 2026/27 campaign.

Meanwhile, old southern rivals Colby and Rushen United will meet at Station Fields.

Elsewhere in the Canada Life Men's Premier League on Saturday (5 September), Peel have the chance to go top when they host Laxey.

Meanwhile, in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2, early frontrunners, Castletown will be hoping to keep up their status as the only Division 2 side with a 100 per cent record right now when they welcome Marown.

Castletown's nearest challengers and fellow southerners, Malew are at home to Ayre United among the other fixtures.

On Sunday (6 September), the new Canada Life Women's League season gets underway with a triple-header of showdowns.

Reigning champions, Peel host Onchan; Douglas Royal welcome Corinthians and Union Mills take on Rushen United.
