Manx side to take on Cymru Premier champions this weekend
It's been confirmed who will represent the Isle of Man men's national football team for its latest test in Wales this weekend.
Manager, Chris Bass jnr. has named 17 players for his squad that will face Welsh premier league champions, The New Saints (TNS) in a friendly across the water this Saturday (13 June) at Park Hall Stadium in Oswestry.
The Island side will be looking to build on a comprehensive 7-0 victory in their last outing which was a home friendly tie up against Halewood Apollo on Saturday, 2 May.
Meanwhile, this latest contest will form part of TNS's early pre-season preparations for the 2026/27 campaign which they will go into as defending Cymru Premier champions, a division which they've won 18 times so far in total.
After this weekend, the Manx side are due to take part in a triangular tournament along with Ynys Mon and AFC Blackpool across Friday, 10 July and Saturday, 11 July at The Bowl in Douglas.
More broadly, this weekend also forms part of the Isle of Man team's 'Road to Gold' campaign over the next three years, leading up to the 2029 International Island Games on the Isle of Man.
