Falcons Brown-ed off in big game

Jamie Brown scored the only goal as Bacchas A won the match of the day in the Mixed Premier Division on Saturday.

A late strike settled a contest which, for the most part, Falcons had dominated only to be denied by a superb goalkeeping display and some dogged defending.

Reigning champions Valkyrs A made it two wins out of two.

Ollie Webster (two) continued his fine form in front of goal and was joined on the scoresheet by Andrea Kneen and Greg Miller in a 4-1 win over Bacchas B, whose goal was scored by John McCarrick.

It was a gloomy day for Ramsey A as they were beaten 5-1 by Valkyrs B – Vic Fearns (two), Ste Lowe (two) and Jonah Hull their marksmen.
