Douglas are now firmly in charge of EuroManx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three, following an 18-17 win away at their nearest promotion rivals St Edwards Old Boys.
St Edwards took an early 10-0 lead but Douglas soon hauled them back with a Kev Spicer try and two penalties from Bryn Snellgrove putting them into the lead.
Andy Hollis picked up a try late in the first half and, when Snellgrove converted, they were 18-10 in front.
St Edwards bagged a try in the second half to cause a few bitten fingernails on the Douglas bench but the Manx side were pretty well in control and managed to hang on for the win to stay top of the table.
