Cycling: Tommy Bass crowned national youth champion

He's one of several Manx riders who impressed during circuit series

Young Isle of Man cyclist, Tommy Bass has been crowned national under-14 champion in the 2026 British Cycling National Youth Circuit Series.

Representing Team RL360 Isle of Man, the Manx rider claims top spot in the Youth B Open standings with 138 points after finishing second in the final round of the series late last month.

He was one of multiple Island competitors who went on to put in several impressive performances throughout the course of the campaign.

Elsewhere, Poppy Clayton took third place in the Youth B Girls series, amassing 114 points across the meetings.

Meanwhile, in the Youth A Open championship, Daniel Minay finished in fourth position with 78 points with fellow Team RL360 Isle of Man athlete, Thomas Hutchinson claiming 13th place in the same class with 58 points.

Whilst Bass took the honours in the Youth B Open, also involved in the category this season for Team RL360 Isle of Man was Ciaran Grimshaw - he finished 16th in the standings on 53 points.

Contesting the Youth B Girls alongside Clayton was Isabella Quaye whose total of 14 points saw her finish in 28th place.
