Closest finish for nearly half a century
There was a thrilling finish to the season in Jurby yesterday in the ACU Centre solo road race championship.
Ryan Cringle was the star of the meeting, winning both races to retain the championship – he’d actually gone into the final day two points behind Manx Grand Prix star Mikey Evans.
It was the closest finish to the series in its 47-year history and ensured a successful end to the campaign for Cringle, who returned from a leg fracture mid-season.
The various class winners were Evans, Pete Creer, Dean Osbourne, Andy Cowie, Jamie Cringle and Dan Sayle.
Michael Jackson and Callum Crowe were the leading sidecar pairing.
