Manxman Mark Cavendish has made it two wins out of two in the Tour of Britain.
After victory in yesterday’s prologue, the 22 year-old T-Mobile rider won today’s (Monday) first road stage from Reading to Southampton.
He saw off a host of riders, including runner-up, Belgian Steven Caethoven, in a bunch sprint to win the 139km leg and retain the leader's yellow jersey.
Cavendish is now 14 seconds ahead of Russian Nikolai Trusov in the standings with five stages remaining, culminating in Glasgow on Saturday.
