Event to be used as world championship preparation
‘Manx Missile’ Mark Cavendish will lead a strong Etixx-Quick Step team at next month’s Tour of Britain.
The 26-time Tour de France stage winner has appeared every year since 2011 and will use it as preparation for the World Championships in Virginia later in the month.
He will be competing against eight other world teams from road cycling's top division.
The Tour starts in Anglesey a week on Sunday (September the sixth) before ending in London a week later.
