
Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish will start the first stage of the Tour of Britain later today (Monday) wearing the yellow jersey.
The T-Mobile rider won Sunday's prologue time-trial around Crystal Palace by 0.8 secs from second placed Nikolai Trusov.
He is the first Great Britain rider to take the yellow since the tour resumed in 2004.
Today's first stage from Reading to Southampton should conclude with a bunch sprint finish, with 71 miles of predominantly flat roads.
