Double World Enduro Champion David Knight was denied victory at Round 9 of the Grand National Cross Country series thanks to a split radiator hose.
Going into the final lap the Manx star had a commanding lead, but his KTM bike had developed problems.
The machine eventually ran out of coolant, and despite two stops for water to be added to the radiator, David was unable to nurse the KTM home.
Knight did push the bike across the line to register 11th place.
He still leads the overall standings, but only by 4 points from Mountain Ridge winner Barry Hawk.
