Pair became stranded near water's edge
Two young people had to be rescued from the cliffs below Onchan Head last night.
The pair had become stranded close to the water’s edge.
A team from Douglas lifeboat was sent out shortly after 9pm and with the assistance of a coastguard member at the top of the cliff the pair were helped down into the boat safely.
After a short trip across Douglas Bay the two youths were left in the care of the Coastguard and are said to be none the worse for their experience.
