Potentially explosive weapons dealt with separately
A month-long weapons amnesty gets underway on Island today (Wed 1).
Members of the public will surrender weapons such as airguns, firearms, ammunition, knives, swords, stun guns, or other illegal weaponry with no questions asked.
They can be dropped off at police stations in Douglas, Castletown, Peel or Ramsey.
It's the first amnesty since 2014, and will run until the 28th February.
Anyone with weapons holding potentially explosive content is asked to call Police Headquarters on 631212 for more information.
