The Department of Health says anybody who left the scene of this morning’s chemical spill at the Mount Murray Hotel without treatment should watch for symptoms of chlorine exposure for 36 hours.
This morning, many of those within the leisure complex left the scene before the emergency services arrived.
The Department says they should watch out for irritated eyes and noses, sore throats, a cough, chest tightness, wheezing and breathlessness.
If you have any of the symptoms, you should attend Accident and Emergency at Noble’s Hospital immediately.
