Unite the Union members are about to enter a third round of industrial action
It's hoped face-to-face talks between the Department of Infrastructure and the union representing striking bus drivers could take place tomorrow (Friday 13 March).
Members of Unite the Union are about to enter their third round of industrial action in a long-running dispute with bus vannin over pay and contractual issues.
The DOI insists it's committed to negotiating a mutually acceptable settlement, and that representatives of bus vannin have attended all scheduled negotiations and have not imposed any preconditions on participation.
But regional officer of the IOM branch of Unite Debbie Halsall says they're yet to have any face-to-face meeting with the employer:
The Department of Infrastructure has been invited to respond.
