A leading figure in the trades union movement is visiting the Isle of Man today (Monday), as the possiblity of public sector job cuts looms on the horizon.
President of Prospect Catherine Donaldson will be attending the Annual General Meeting of the Government Officers' Association branch of the organisation.
Following the United Kingdom's decision to slash the Island's revenue from VAT, the Manx Government is looking to cut costs wherever possible, and civil servants have been warned to expect pay freezes or possibly job losses.
