Manx Deaf Society hosting taster sessions during Sign Language Week
A charity says learning the basics of sign language can make a huge difference to those with hearing loss.
The Manx Deaf Society is hosting two taster sessions this week to coincide with Sign Language Week which begins today (16 March).
Chief Executive Lucy Buxton says even just knowing how to say hello, and ask how someone is, can help people feel more included.
She told Manx Radio how the use of sign language at TT has been noticed internationally:
The sessions will take place on Friday (20 March) at 10am and 12pm at the society's headquarters on Somerset Road in Douglas.
