The 100 watt light bulb is being phased out.
The move is being implemented in Europe and will apply to the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man.
From September, the old-style bulbs (see picture) will no longer be available, and next year the 60 watt bulb will also be phased out.
The UK has voluntarily agreed to the change as part of its commitment to help ease the 'greenhouse' effect.
