Constituents concerned about respite care provision says MHK
A Rushen MHK says he's been contacted by constituents caring for adults with learning difficulties who are concerned about the demand on the Island's respite care unit.
Juan Watterson recently asked Tynwald for information about the staffing, and budget, of the Hollydene unit in Radcliffe Villas.
You can find out more HERE.
The site has seen a 37 per cent increase in demand, over the past five years, with seven rounds of recruitment taking place since last year.
Mr Watterson told Manx Radio those issues take precedence over plans for a new purpose-built respite unit:
Plan for future of Hospice to be brought forward 'during this administration'
Online gambling sector subject to more 'rigorous scrutiny' than ever before
Plans to create a 'people's mandate' for prospective election candidates
Open Farm event inspires next generation of Manx farmers
