Last month was the warmest May ever recorded on the Isle of Man
The mean maximum temperature was 16.1 Celsius, marginally higher than the previous record set in May 1959.
The warmest day of the month was on the 31st, the first day of racing at this year's TT festival, when the thermometer reached 22.4 Celsius.
Race Saturday also had 15.6 hours of continuous sunshine, the most recorded on a May day since the same date in 1962.
Total rainfall for the month was just 14mm, 30 less than the long term mean making it the third driest on record.
It was also sunny! There were some 256 hours of sunshine, 14% more than the long term mean.
