What's Love Got To Do With It?

Rare opportunity to be involved in 'time capsule' today

Add your signature to Peel Cathedral's floor

People are being given a rare opportunity to become part of history in the west of the Island today (2 March).

St German’s Cathedral in Peel is currently being renovated and, before the top layer of the new floor is added, you can put your signature under the terracotta tiles.

The building closed in August last year and it's hoped it will reopen in May.

Dean Nigel Godfrey says pupils from Peel Clothworkers' have already added their names which reflects the close relationship the school has with the cathedral.

He spoke to Manx Radio ahead of the event:

If you'd like to do the same the building will be open from 9am until 6pm today  (Saturday, 2 March)

There is a suggested donation of £5, with a card reader available, but cash is also welcome.
