The treasury minister has echoed the sentiments of the Northern Irish agriculture minister who was on the Island for 'crucial talks' this week.
It follows recent concerns from the fishing sector over rules determining who can, and who can't, work in Manx waters.

Chris Thomas says there's now a better understanding of the Manx position, and discussions were also opened about other opportunities available to further strengthen the sector for both countries.
He told Manx Radio the meeting was 'productive and constructive':
