Metal detector helps reunite residents with lost jewellery
A Ramsey woman has helped reunite a couple with their missing wedding ring … just days after she managed to find her husband’s which had been lost at sea.
Zoe Sowrey was enjoying a day at the beach earlier this month, with her family, when the ring slipped from his finger whilst he was in the water.
She returned to the scene at low tide the following day with a friend’s metal detector and 10 minutes later discovered it submerged in a rock pool.
And after seeing an appeal for help from a couple in a similar position to her own she went to Ramsey Beach to try and assist.
She spoke to Simon Richardson:
Island's finances 'in a better position than most other jurisdictions'
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
