Blue plaque unveiled
There is now a permanent memorial on Loch promenade, which honours a key figure in Manx sport.
Murray Lambden competed in, photographed and compiled statistics on athletics on the Island for many years, and was integral to the organisation of the Parish Walk.
A blue plaque was unveiled on the eve of this year's event.
Douglas Mayor Jon Joughin led the ceremony, along with Murray's widow, Marie.
The mayor praised the "serious impact" Murray had on Douglas and the Island, and said the only two previous recipients of commemorations of this kind have been Archibald Knox and the Bee Gees.
