Norman McGregor-Edwards voted in until 2020
The newest member of Port St Mary Commissioners has expressed his amazement that Friday's local election was so one sided.
Norman McGregor-Edwards secured almost 200 votes more than each of his two competitors - his tally standing at 277, compared to 85 for private nanny Jillian Margaret Hamilton and 84 for chef Karena Thewlis.
He will serve on the board until 2020.
The turnout was 28.8% - more than 10% higher than recent elections in Ramsey and Douglas' Derby Ward.
Mr McGregor Edwards thinks this could prove there's a 'disconnect' between the board and the public.
