
The police say they are looking for ways to make the Island’s roads safer during TT after a series of accidents on open roads marred the start of this year’s festival.
Five people lost their lives in road traffic accidents despite the best efforts of police and other agencies to keep people safe.
Inspector Derek Flint says although he cannot comment on specific cases, he wants to hear suggestions that could help.
He believes those extra measures could take their inspiration from other motorsports events:
