Irresponsible golfers smashed windows at a Douglas playgroup earlier this week, forcing staff to clear up shards of glass as children arrived.
The incident happened between 2pm on Wednesday and 8am on Thursday, when two windows were broken at the Willaston Playgroup, in St Joseph's Church Hall on Snaefell Road.
Police say the damage was caused by golf balls and the vandalism was 'particularly heartless'.
They are appealing for people with golf equipment in their homes to ensure it is stored securely and can't be misused.
Anybody with information which might help catch those responsible is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212.
