Local group wants four courts on the former tennis site

Planning approval is wanted for padel courts at Noble's Park.

An application has been submitted which would see four courts erected on the site of the former tennis and netball section of the park.

Manx Padel Ltd wants to repurpose the 'underutilised' area to 'provide the Isle of Man community with a new offering  that is very much in demand'.

The new facilities would include a kiosk which contain lockers and padel accessories to allow players to purchase or hire equipment.

There would also be floodlighting and low-level lighting.

Each court would be enclosed with fencing and glass panels.

The proposed development has the support of Douglas Council and the Lawn Tennis Association.

You can find the planning application HERE.

A previous application for six courts at Noble's Park was submitted last year.
