A former MHK has vowed to ‘hit the ground running’ should he be re-elected to the House of Keys.
Douglas councillor Bill Malarkey will contest the by-election in South Douglas triggered by David Cretney’s elevation to the Legislative Council yesterday (Monday).
It’s likely the by-election will be held in late May and Mr Malarkey, who served in South Douglas from 2006 to 2011 and helped lead the Chief Minister’s drug and alcohol strategy, says his passion for politics has prompted his decision:
