Public can still enjoy Island's coastal waters
New areas designated as Marine Nature Reserves have come into force in coastal waters around the Island.
The reserves - which came into effect on the first of this month, are the culmination of project which has been ongoing for many years.
The creation of the reserves around the coastal waters of the Island is seen as a major step forward in marine conservation.
Senior Marine Environment Officer, Dr Peter Duncan, says the move isn't intended to put people off enjoying Manx waters.
