Graham Kinrade takes on role for six months
The education minister has backed his new chief officer to drive a culture change within the department.
Graham Kinrade has been appointed to the role for six months, after his predecessor professor Ronald Barr left last week.
It's after an independent report criticised the department's failing relationship with schools, which it says resulted in the ongoing industrial dispute over pay.
Dr Allinson says it's not just his new chief officer who'll help drive the reforms required:
Faulty device believed to have triggered multi-agency search effort
Payroll firm reprimanded after thousands of personal records discovered in abandoned shredding bins
Finish line in sight for Atlantic rowers
Further delays to Manxman sailings following weather disruption
