
Newly-elected Onchan Commissioner David Scambler says he will do all he can to ensure the authority stays in touch with ratepayers.
Mr Scambler topped the poll in Thursday's by-election, comfortably beating his two rivals for the vacant seat.
But he's disappointed at the low turnout, which saw just 15 per cent of voters go to the polls.
